A Musical Genius
Say you are listening to a song you really like and want to hear other tracks that go great with it. The Genius Playlist feature finds the songs in your music library that go great together and makes a Genius Playlist for you. It is like having your greatly intelligent, personal DJ.
Find Your Music Faster
It is easier to find the song you want to hear. Now you may be able to view your album art in Cover Flow. Or just press and hold the Center button to browse by album or artist. When you find the right song, press the Center button to add it to your on the go playlist.
Rock and Roll Over
Tilt or turn iPod nano on its side, and you will listen, watch, and play in new ways. You may be able to flip through your album art with Cover Flow. Or, vertically speaking, see more albums and artists on the screen at one time.
Shake Your Groove Thing
On occasion, we could all use a little unpredictability. And now you may be able to shake to change your music. Just give iPod nano a shake, and it shuffles to a different song in your music library. You will generally be surprised by what you will hear.
Let the Games Begin
Now you may be able to get in on games made particularly for iPod nano and the accelerometer. They react to the way you move, so they are immersive, addictive, and a blast. Good gift idea!
My wife and I got this as a present along with her siblings for my mother in law, and though I have never used it only loaded music and podcasts for her she’s very happy with it and listens to it all the time.

Wonderful music and videoThis is great. For such a small screen the resolution is great though on some video podcasts I noticed that the screen does not show many of the material on the edges of the video podcast. The storage capability for this really small ipod is great. It fits over 1000 songs with lots of room left over for other things.
